Here we have an un-named weapon from the Star Trek episode “By Any Other Name”, where aliens from Andromeda adopt human form so that they can use the Enterprise to return home. This weapon could reduce a human being to a tiny solid geodesic sphere of matter, as well as change the object back into living person. Once damaged, however, the sphere could not be returned to human form.
